About Wordnook
Wordnook is a small, friendly place for young readers to look up words they meet in books.
There are five ways to search: type a word and get a kid-friendly definition, type a book to see its key vocabulary, describe a meaning to find the right word, or browse an author or a series. Every word, definition, and example sentence has a speaker button so kids can hear it read aloud.
Answers are written on the fly for readers roughly ages 5-13, in plain, warm language. There are no accounts and nothing to sign up for — just search and read.
