Rob Rombout

Rob Rombout (Amsterdam, 1953) is a Dutch documentary filmmaker and photographer based in Brussels and Lisbon. His films include Nord Express (1990), Transatlantique, Queen Elizabeth 2 (1992), L'Île noire (1994), Amsterdam Stories USA (2012, with Rogier van Eck) and On the Track of Robert van Gulik (2016). He taught documentary directing at Sint-Lukas, now LUCA School of Arts, in Brussels from 1988 to 2018. His photographs are collected in PORTRAITS / on the road (Yellow Now, 2024).
