Captain of the Discovery

Based mainly on his own journals, tells about Captain George Vancouver's life as a seaman and his expedition in H.M.S. Discovery, where he charts the North American shoreline from California to Cook's Inlet and Kodiak Island and finds a passage between the mainland and what became Vancouver Island.
