The story of George Washington

More than anything George Washington enjoyed being with his wife, Martha, and her two children on their Mount Vernon farm. But when called upon to serve his country, he was always ready. General Washington helped to win our country's freedom from the British. He led the Constituional Convention and then became the first president of the United States of America. Washington, the "quiet hero," served his country well. This book tells how he did it.
