St. Agnes' Stand

A magnificent debut novel of survival on the Western frontier by a talented new author. Running from a posse and a murder charge, Nat Swanson stumbles across a stranded group of three nuns and seven orphans who have been attacked by Apache. Though he's no hero, Nat agrees to help them out of the desert.
