Based on two international conferences on human rights : the first, held in Maastricht, Netherlands, Sept. 18-20, 1987, was sponsored by the Netherlands Commission for Unesco and the second, held in Middleburg, Netherlands, June 1-3, 1988, was sponsored by the Commission in collaboration with the Roosevelt Study Center.
