David Bailey has just arrived at Idlewild Airport - as JFK was then called - with his model, Jean Shrimpton and the fashion editor (Lady) Clare Rendlesham. They were to shoot a fourteen-page feature entitled 'New York: Young idea goes west', for British Vogue.
