Standards for statistics on cultural and language diversity, 1999

Presents the standards for a set of variables which measure the various aspects of cultural identity, including first language spoken, religion, Australian citizenship, indigenous status and year of arrival in Australia. The ABS uses these standards in its publications and encourages their use by other government departments and community bodies generally.
