"M/ntor is a zine - and hopefully a series of zines - about retracing and retelling the stories of forgotten and unacknowledged female mentors. I'm starting with fictional characters from television and film because that's what first came to mind when I thought of women and girls I looked up to or admired. And also, I love television and pop culture, and it's always validating to find ways to talk about these things in personal and meaningful ways...M/ntor is a way for me to admit to this realization - that I erroneously believed that I had no female role models - to process it, and to start a practice of recognizing and acknowledging women."--Page 4.
