Fieled read the poem at the **Personal Mythologies II** reading at the **Kelly Writers House**, on the U of Penn campus in West Philadelphia, on September 20, 2003. The reading was taped. In 2018, an mp3 of Personal Mythologies II in its entirety was placed on Adam Fieled's PennSound Author Page. As of 2026, Fieled noticed *What Needs No Myth* and submitted it to **Eratio Postmodern Poetry**, who published it. It was released on August 17, 2026.
